Yes! Each season, we host a local home tournament in Verona, Wisconsin, along with community demonstrations throughout the state to help raise awareness and support for wheelchair basketball.
During these events, we also hold a Silent Auction and Basket Raffle as part of our fundraising efforts. We gratefully welcome Donations of Any Kind to support these events and help make them a success.

Wheelchair basketball requires significant resources to operate a competitive program. Expenses include specialized athletic equipment, tournament registration fees, facility rentals, and travel costs for major competitions. Donations play a critical role in helping offset these expenses and ensuring that more youth athletes have the opportunity to participate.
Below is an approximate breakdown of the costs associated with a typical season:
Specialized Basketball Wheelchair: approximately $5,000 per chair
Season Tournament Entry Fees: approximately $4,000 per season
NWBA Registration Fees: approximately $1,000 per season
Gym Rental for Practices: approximately $3,000 per season
NWBA National Championship Tournament: approximately $15,000 per season
(Includes charter bus transportation, driver lodging, and tournament registration fees.)
Our goal is to keep participation costs as low as possible for our athletes and their families. Families are typically responsible for their own travel and hotel accommodations for individual tournaments, while the program works to cover many of the team-related expenses through fundraising and donations.
Your support helps make these opportunities possible for young athletes with physical disabilities.
